    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their largest expenditures people always have a number of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the most common ones…

Unless you are a trained contractor, the majority of roofing jobs shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. In addition bear in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the work. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof can be very risky, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?

It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a simple response to this question! But there really is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are several unique products available and each will have its own advantages and faults. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you really should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they have seen, the type of roof you have, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends on the type of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on particular days then this is going to add more time to the job. A small home might take about a week or so, while much larger commercial projects could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just see to it your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Considering that your roof is always exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is will deteriorate gradually. The pace at which it deteriorates will be dependent on a range of factors. These include; the grade of the initial components that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the style of the roof. Most roofing contractors will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be promised as a result of the above issues. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of eliminating any covering materials that have been included to give cover from the elements. Furthermore, you should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they may also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will eliminate the aesthetically displeasing algae and staining without damaging the tile or shingles.

    More About Spring Hill

Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 98,621 at the 2010 census,[1] up from 69,078 at the 2000 census. The American Community Survey estimated the population in 2017 to be 113,508.[4] Spring Hill belongs to Florida’s Nature Coast region and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area. It is east of Hernando Beach, southwest of Brooksville, and north of Tampa.

Spring Hill was formerly a large tract of endangered Longleaf Pine Ecosystem and Sand Pine Scrub with very high biodiversity, and a safe haven for many imperiled species, and most of it remained unchanged until the 1970’s with large scale deforestation.[citation needed] It first appeared on Hernando County maps as early as 1856 along what is today Fort Dade Avenue just north of the community of Wiscon.[5] The modern Spring Hill was founded in 1967 as a planned community, which was developed by the Deltona Corporation and the Mackle Brothers. The developers originally wanted to call the community Spring Lake and used that as the working name through the development process. They were forced to use a different name due to the name Spring Lake already being in use locally and chose Spring Hill.[6] The plans for the community are identical to the community of Deltona. The Mackle Brothers sold many of the properties and land in the area through intense advertising.[7] It has since become a sprawling semi-city in its own right, though it is an unincorporated area. The main entrance to the original development is marked by the Spring Hill waterfall on Spring Hill Drive and U.S. Route 19 (Commercial Way).

Local contractors are more inclined to be informed about the codes and building requirements in your neighborhood. They are also more unlikely to try to scam you away from your money since they must maintain their reputation in your neighborhood.

    2. Verify how the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take the time to get licensed. You must be able to look up licensing information online from the website of your own city or state. Check to ensure that the contractor’s license is valid and that it must be current prior to hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to supply proof of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the 1st company which you contact. Instead, get in touch with no less than a few different contractors in your community to have quotes for that roofing project. Ask each contractor to present you an itemized quote so that you can see just where your cash is headed. Ideally, they ought to send a representative to the property to check your roof in person before supplying you with an estimate. Like that, the estimate they provide is going to be far more accurate.

    4. Ensure that the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups much like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to confirm that no major complaints have been filed against them.

    5. Get all things in writing. Don’t you need to take a contractor at their word. Instead, ask them to offer you a written contract. Make sure both you together with the contractor sign the contract. Have a copy for yourself in the event that any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the danger of misunderstandings and provides you with legal protection if the contractor fails to adhere to through on their own promises.
