    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As one of their largest investments people typically have a ton of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a few of the more common ones…

Unless you’re a trained roofing professional, most roofing jobs shouldn’t be performed yourself. In addition remember that almost all manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the job. The other thing to remember is that working on a roof could be very dangerous, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health in order to save money?

It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple answer to this question! However there actually is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are several unique products readily available and each and every one has its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for your home, you should have a professional come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions based on what they discover, the type of roof you have, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends on the type of roof and exactly what surveys are needed. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add time to the job. A small home may take about a week or so, whereas larger commercial projects may be anything from a few weeks to a few months. Just be sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Given that your roof is continually exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to deteriorate with time. The pace at which it breaks down will depend on a variety of factors. These include; the quality of the initial components that were used as well as the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the style of the roof. Most roofing professionals will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed due to the above variables. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of washing away any protective minerals that have been added to provide protection from the elements. Aside from that, you really should try to stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaners as they may also diminish the lifespan of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will remove the ugly algae and yellowing without ruining the tile or shingles.

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

How To Locate A Reliable Roof Specialist For Your Home

    leaky-roof-in
The principal reason for your roof is always to shelter your family and friends from the rain, wind, snow, and harsh summer sun. Using a well-maintained roof is vital if you want to produce a home that is safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs need to be repaired or replaced at some point or other. Unless you have the right tools and experience to do the project yourself, that typically means hiring a professional roofing company.

The value of hiring the correct company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are very expensive. You should know that you are currently investing your hard earned money wisely which the finished roof can last for quite some time into the future. Check out these easy methods to look for a reliable roofing company for your own home:

    1. Employ a local company. Before hiring a contractor, make sure that there is a physical address inside your city or county. Local contractors will probably be informed about the codes and building requirements in the area. They are also less likely to try to scam you from the money since they have to maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify that this contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always spend some time to get licensed. You must be able to search for licensing information online throughout the website of your own city or state. Check to ensure that the contractor’s license is valid and that it must be current prior to hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to offer evidence of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they start work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t create the mistake of hiring the initial company that you just contact. Instead, reach out to at the very least a few different contractors in your community to acquire quotes to the roofing project. Ask each contractor to offer you an itemized quote to be able to see exactly where your hard earned money is headed. Ideally, they must send an agent to the property to look at the roof directly before offering you an insurance quote. Doing this, the estimate they give will probably be much more accurate.

    4. Ensure that the clients are trustworthy by reading through reviews using their past clients. Consider checking with groups much like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to confirm that no major complaints have been filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t just take a contractor at their word. Instead, question them to offer you a written contract. Ensure both you and also the contractor sign the contract. Have a copy for yourself in case any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the chance of misunderstandings and gives you legal protection in the event the contractor fails to adhere to through on their promises.

Selecting a reliable roof specialist for your house is important. The roof is one of the most significant components of your property. Employing a professional roofing company having an excellent reputation is the easiest method to ensure that the project goes as planned.
