    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their largest expenditures people typically have a number of questions before makingany decisions , below are a number of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you are a qualified contractor, most roofing jobs should never be performed yourself. Also bear in mind that the majority of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified professional performs the task. Something else to remember is that working on a roof can be very hazardous, so is it really worth risking your health so you can save money?

It would be great if we were able to give you a straight forward response to that question! However there actually is no one answer fits all for every question like that. There are several unique products available and each will have its own benefits and faults. To determine which is the ideal roof for your home, you should have a professional come and examine your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they observe, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends on the kind of roof and what evaluations are mandated. Also, keep in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on a number of days then this will certainly add time to the task. A smaller home may take about a week or so, while much larger industrial jobs can be anything from several weeks to a few months. Just be sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Due to the fact that your roof is consistently exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to break down with time. The rate at which it breaks down will be dependent on a range of factors. These include; the grade of the initial materials that were used along with the workmanship, the amount of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of eliminating any covering minerals that have been added to provide shielding from the weather. Furthermore, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will remove the ugly algae and staining without ruining the tile or shingles.

    More About Spring Hill

Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 98,621 at the 2010 census,[1] up from 69,078 at the 2000 census. The American Community Survey estimated the population in 2017 to be 113,508.[4] Spring Hill belongs to Florida’s Nature Coast region and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area. It is east of Hernando Beach, southwest of Brooksville, and north of Tampa.

Spring Hill was formerly a large tract of endangered Longleaf Pine Ecosystem and Sand Pine Scrub with very high biodiversity, and a safe haven for many imperiled species, and most of it remained unchanged until the 1970’s with large scale deforestation.[citation needed] It first appeared on Hernando County maps as early as 1856 along what is today Fort Dade Avenue just north of the community of Wiscon.[5] The modern Spring Hill was founded in 1967 as a planned community, which was developed by the Deltona Corporation and the Mackle Brothers. The developers originally wanted to call the community Spring Lake and used that as the working name through the development process. They were forced to use a different name due to the name Spring Lake already being in use locally and chose Spring Hill.[6] The plans for the community are identical to the community of Deltona. The Mackle Brothers sold many of the properties and land in the area through intense advertising.[7] It has since become a sprawling semi-city in its own right, though it is an unincorporated area. The main entrance to the original development is marked by the Spring Hill waterfall on Spring Hill Drive and U.S. Route 19 (Commercial Way).

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs should be repaired or replaced at some point or other. Unless you will have the right tools and experience to accomplish the task yourself, that usually means hiring a professional roofer.

The necessity of hiring the best company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are quite expensive. You need to know that you are investing your hard earned dollars wisely and that the finished roof lasts for many years to come. Take a look at these tips on how to locate a reliable roofer for your home:

    1. Work with a local company. Prior to hiring a contractor, ensure that they have a physical address in your city or county. Local contractors are more likely to be aware of the codes and building requirements in your town. They are also more unlikely to attempt to scam you out of your money since they need to maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify that the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always make time to get licensed. You should certainly check out licensing information online through the website of the city or state. Check to ensure that the contractor’s license applies and that it is current before hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to deliver proof of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they start work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the 1st company that you simply contact. Instead, reach out to at the very least some different contractors in your community to get quotes for your roofing project. Ask each contractor to present you with an itemized quote to enable you to see exactly where your hard earned dollars is headed. Ideally, they should send a representative to your property to examine your roof personally before supplying you with a quotation. That way, the estimate they supply will probably be much more accurate.

    4. Make sure the clients are trustworthy by reading through reviews from the past clients. Consider checking with groups much like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to verify that no major complaints have been filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t you need to take a contractor at their word. Instead, ask them to present you with a written contract. Be sure both you and the contractor sign the agreement. Have a copy yourself in the event that any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the danger of misunderstandings and offers you legal protection in case the contractor fails to follow along with through on their own promises.
