    FAQs

Being one of their most significant investments people always have a many questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a number of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you are a qualified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs should never be carried out yourself. Also bear in mind that most manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof will not warranty those products unless a licensed roofing contractor performs the work. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very risky, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health so you can save money?

It would be great if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to this question! However there really is no one answer that fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of different products readily available and each one has its own merits and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for you, you ought to have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends on the type of roof you have and exactly what inspections are mandated. Also, bear in mind that we will be working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we can’t work on certain days then this will certainly add more time to the task. A small home may take about a week or so, while much larger industrial jobs may be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just ensure your roofing company keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Considering that your roof is consistently exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to diminish gradually. The speed at which it degrades will depend upon a variety of variables. Those include; the quality of the original materials used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the type of roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed due to the above factors. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any protective minerals that have been added to provide cover from the elements. Also, you should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also cut down the life of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will clear away the undesirable algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs must be repaired or replaced at one point or other. Unless you will have the right tools and experience to do the project yourself, that generally means hiring a professional roofing company.

The value of hiring the right company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are very expensive. You must know you are investing your hard earned dollars wisely which the finished roof can last for quite some time into the future. 1. Work with a local company. Before getting a contractor, make certain that there is a physical address with your city or county. Local contractors are more likely to know about the codes and building requirements in your neighborhood. Also, they are less likely in order to scam you away from your money since they have to maintain their reputation in your neighborhood.

    2. Verify the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take time to get licensed. You must be able to lookup licensing information online with the website of your city or state. Check to be sure that the contractor’s license applies and that it must be current prior to getting them. Additionally, ask the contractor to offer evidence of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the very first company which you contact. Instead, reach out to at least various contractors in your community to have quotes for the roofing project. Ask each contractor to provide you with an itemized quote to enable you to see exactly where your cash goes. Ideally, they should send a representative to your property to examine your roof in person before giving you a quote. This way, the estimate they give will probably be a lot more accurate.

    4. Ensure that the clients are trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure that no major complaints happen to be filed against them.

    5. Get all things in writing. Don’t take a contractor at their word. Instead, ask them to provide you with a written contract. Be sure both you together with the contractor sign the contract. Keep a copy on your own in the event any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the risk of misunderstandings and gives you legal protection in the event the contractor fails to follow along with through on the promises.
