    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their largest expenditures people usually have a bunch of questions before coming to a conclusion , listed here are a few of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you are a trained contractor, the majority of roofing work should never be undertaken yourself. Also remember that a lot of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor performs the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! But there actually is no one answer that fits all for every question like that. There are so many unique products readily available and each has its own benefits and faults. To determine which is the ideal roof for you, you should have a professional come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they discover, your roof design, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends upon the kind of roof and exactly what surveys are required. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on certain days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A smaller home may take around a week or so, whereas much larger industrial jobs might be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Since your roof is constantly exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is will diminish gradually. The rate at which it breaks down will depend upon a range of variables. Those include; the quality of the original materials that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed due to the above factors. Our advice is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should not ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been included to offer shielding from the elements. On top of that, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they could also cut down the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will remove the unappealing algae and yellowing without destroying the tile or shingles.

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs should be repaired or replaced at some time or some other. Unless there is the right tools and experience to accomplish the task yourself, that frequently means getting a professional roofer.

The value of hiring the best company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are very expensive. You have to know that you will be investing your money wisely which the finished roof may last for several years into the future. Look at these tips on how to find a reliable roofing contractor for your house:

    1. Make use of a local company. Before getting a contractor, be sure that these people have a physical address in your city or county. Local contractors will probably know about the codes and building requirements in the area. They are also less likely to attempt to scam you out of your money since they must maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify that this contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take time to get licensed. You should be able to lookup licensing information online from the website of the city or state. Check to make sure that the contractor’s license applies and that it is current before hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to supply evidence of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they start work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the 1st company that you simply contact. Instead, reach out to at the very least a few different contractors in your community to have quotes for your roofing project. Ask each contractor to present you with an itemized quote so that you can see just where your hard earned money is certainly going. Ideally, they should send an agent in your property to examine your homes roof personally before giving you an insurance quote. Like that, the estimate they provide is going to be much more accurate.

    4. Make sure the clients are trustworthy by reading through reviews from the past clients. Consider checking with groups such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to make sure that that no major complaints are already filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t just take a contractor at their word. Instead, ask them to present you a written contract. Make certain both you together with the contractor sign the agreement. Keep a copy on your own in the event that any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the danger of misunderstandings and offers you legal protection in the event the contractor fails to follow along with through on their own promises.

Choosing a reliable roof specialist for your own home is very important. Your homes roof is among the most critical components of your residence. Hiring a professional roofing contractor who has an incredible reputation is the best way to be sure that the project goes as planned.
