    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As one of their biggest expenditures people typically have a plenty of questions before coming to a conclusion , below are a few of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you are a trained contractor, the majority of roofing work shouldn’t be undertaken yourself. Also always remember that almost all manufacturers of products utilized in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified roofing contractor performs the task. Something else to keep in mind is that working on a roof is going to be very risky, so is it really worth risking your health for you to save money?

It would be great if we were able to give you a simple answer to that question! However, there really is no single answer fits all for each question like that. There are so many different products available and each has its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the right roof for you, you should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they see, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends upon the type of roof you currently have and what surveys are mandated. Also, keep in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add time to the job. A small home might take around a week or so, whereas much larger commercial jobs can be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Because your roof is always exposed to the weather, it means your roof is going to deteriorate gradually. The pace at which it deteriorates will depend upon a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the original components used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the elements, how well the roof is taken care of and the style of the roof. Most roofing companies will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our advice is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been added to offer protection from the weather. Also, you should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also decrease the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning expert, ask them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. This will clear away the aesthetically displeasing algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

How To Choose A Reliable Roofer For Your Home

    cost-of-roof-replacement-in
The main reason for the roof is to shelter both you and your family and friends from your rain, wind, snow, and harsh summer sun. Using a well-maintained roof is vital in order to create a home that is safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs need to be repaired or replaced at one point or some other. Unless you have the right tools and experience to do the job yourself, that generally means getting a professional roofing contractor.

The importance of hiring the correct company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects can be expensive. You have to know that you are currently investing your hard earned dollars wisely and therefore the finished roof can last for a long time into the future. Take a look at these tips about how to find a reliable roofing company for your house:

    1. Work with a local company. Before hiring a contractor, ensure that they have a physical address with your city or county. Local contractors are more inclined to be familiar with the codes and building requirements in your area. They are also unlikely to try and scam you from the money since they should maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify that the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take the time to get licensed. You will be able to lookup licensing information online through the website of the city or state. Check to make sure that the contractor’s license applies and that it is current before getting them. Additionally, ask the contractor to provide evidence of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the first company that you contact. Instead, get in touch with at least a few different contractors in your community to have quotes for your roofing project. Ask each contractor to present you with an itemized quote to be able to see precisely where your hard earned dollars is headed. Ideally, they must send an agent in your property to check your roof personally before offering you an estimate. Doing this, the estimate they supply will be a lot more accurate.

    4. Be sure the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure that no major complaints have already been filed against them.

    5. Get all things in writing. Don’t take a contractor at their word. Instead, inquire further to provide you with a written contract. Make sure both you together with the contractor sign the agreement. Keep a copy for yourself in the event that any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the risk of misunderstandings and provides you with legal protection when the contractor fails to follow through on the promises.

Deciding on a reliable roofer for your home is really important. Your homes roof is among the most significant components of your residence. Hiring a professional roofing company who may have an incredible reputation is the simplest way to be sure that the project goes as planned.
