    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their most significant financial investments people usually have a number of questions before coming to a conclusion , below are a few of the more commonplace ones…

Unless you’re a qualified roofing professional, the majority of roofing work shouldn’t be performed yourself. In addition bear in mind that most manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those items unless a certified professional performs the task. The other thing to bear in mind is that working on a roof may be very risky, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health for you to save money?

It would be really good if we could give you a straight forward answer to this question! However there really is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are several different products available and each has its own merits and faults. To determine which is the best roof for you, you should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they observe, the type of roof you have, the environment you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It definitely depends upon the type of roof you currently have and exactly what inspections are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add more time to the task. A small home could take around a week or so, whereas more substantial industrial jobs might be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Given that your roof is consistently exposed to the outside elements, this means your roof is will deteriorate over time. The speed at which it degrades will be dependent on a number of factors. These include; the grade of the initial components that were used as well as the workmanship, the level of abuse it has to take from the weather, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed because of the above variables. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of washing away any protective materials that have been added to offer shielding from the weather. In addition, you really should stay clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also reduce the life-span of your roof. When you converse with your roof cleaning expert, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will clear away the undesirable algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

    More About Spring Hill

Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 98,621 at the 2010 census,[1] up from 69,078 at the 2000 census. The American Community Survey estimated the population in 2017 to be 113,508.[4] Spring Hill belongs to Florida’s Nature Coast region and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area. It is east of Hernando Beach, southwest of Brooksville, and north of Tampa.

Spring Hill was formerly a large tract of endangered Longleaf Pine Ecosystem and Sand Pine Scrub with very high biodiversity, and a safe haven for many imperiled species, and most of it remained unchanged until the 1970’s with large scale deforestation.[citation needed] It first appeared on Hernando County maps as early as 1856 along what is today Fort Dade Avenue just north of the community of Wiscon.[5] The modern Spring Hill was founded in 1967 as a planned community, which was developed by the Deltona Corporation and the Mackle Brothers. The developers originally wanted to call the community Spring Lake and used that as the working name through the development process. They were forced to use a different name due to the name Spring Lake already being in use locally and chose Spring Hill.[6] The plans for the community are identical to the community of Deltona. The Mackle Brothers sold many of the properties and land in the area through intense advertising.[7] It has since become a sprawling semi-city in its own right, though it is an unincorporated area. The main entrance to the original development is marked by the Spring Hill waterfall on Spring Hill Drive and U.S. Route 19 (Commercial Way).

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs should be repaired or replaced at some time or other. Unless you will have the right tools and experience to perform the work yourself, that typically means employing a professional roofing company.

The importance of hiring the correct company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are usually expensive. You need to know you are investing your hard earned dollars wisely and therefore the finished roof lasts for several years ahead. Take a look at these tips about how to get a reliable roofing contractor for your own home:

    1. Employ a local company. Prior to hiring a contractor, be sure that they have a physical address in your city or county. Local contractors will probably be familiar with the codes and building requirements in your area. Also, they are less likely to attempt to scam you out of your money since they have to maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take the time to get licensed. You will be able to look up licensing information online through the website of your respective city or state. Check to make sure that the contractor’s license is valid and that it is current prior to hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to offer evidence of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t have the mistake of hiring the initial company which you contact. Instead, get in touch with at least some different contractors in your neighborhood to get quotes for your roofing project. Ask each contractor to present you an itemized quote to be able to see specifically where your hard earned dollars is certainly going. Ideally, they must send an agent to your property to check the roof in person before supplying you with a quote. Like that, the estimate they supply is going to be far more accurate.

    4. Ensure that the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews off their past clients. Consider checking with groups such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to confirm that no major complaints are already filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t simply take a contractor at their word. Instead, inquire further to present you a written contract. Ensure both you together with the contractor sign the agreement. Have a copy on your own in the event that any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the chance of misunderstandings and will provide you with legal protection if the contractor fails to go by through on his or her promises.

Choosing a reliable roofing contractor for your residence is very important. Your homes roof is amongst the most significant components of your home. Working with a professional roofing contractor who has a fantastic reputation is the best way to ensure that the project goes as planned.
