    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their biggest investments people always have a ton of questions before coming to a conclusion , below are a number of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you’re a properly trained roofing professional, the majority of roofing jobs should not be performed yourself. Also remember that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair will not warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the work. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very hazardous, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?

It would be really good if we were able to give you a simple response to that question! However, there really is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are a lot of unique products available and each and every one will have its own benefits and disadvantages. To determine which is the right roof for your home, you should have a contractor come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they discover, the type of roof you have, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends upon the kind of roof you currently have and what surveys are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather is bad and we cannot work on certain days then this is going to add time to the job. A small home may take about a week or so, while much larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just make sure your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Because your roof is consistently exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is will degrade with time. The rate at which it degrades will depend on a variety of variables. These include; the grade of the original components used and the craftsmanship, the amount of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our suggestion is to consistently keep your roof well maintained and get regular roof inspections to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any covering minerals that have been added to give shielding from the elements. Furthermore, you really should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaning products as they may also cut down the lifespan of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will clear away the unpleasant algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

How To Choose A Reliable Roofing Company For Your Home

    roofing-leak-repair-in
The main purpose of your homes roof is to shelter both you and your family and friends in the rain, wind, snow, and harsh summer sun. Using a well-maintained roof is important if you wish to build a home that may be safe and comfortable.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs need to be repaired or replaced at one point or another. Unless there is the right tools and experience to perform the work yourself, that usually means getting a professional roofing contractor.

The importance of hiring the proper company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are quite expensive. You need to know that you are currently investing your cash wisely and therefore the finished roof can last for several years in the future. Have a look at these tips on how to get a reliable roofer for your own home:

    1. Make use of a local company. Before hiring a contractor, make sure that they have a physical address inside your city or county. Local contractors will probably be familiar with the codes and building requirements in your neighborhood. They are also not as likely to try and scam you out of your money since they must maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify how the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always make time to get licensed. You must be able to check out licensing information online through the website of your respective city or state. Check to be sure that the contractor’s license is valid and that it is current prior to hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to offer evidence of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they start work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make the mistake of hiring the first company which you contact. Instead, get in touch with at least a few different contractors in your neighborhood to get quotes for your roofing project. Ask each contractor to offer you an itemized quote to enable you to see precisely where your hard earned dollars is headed. Ideally, they should send a representative in your property to evaluate the roof personally before supplying you with an insurance quote. This way, the estimate they supply will probably be far more accurate.

    4. Make sure the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to make sure that that no major complaints have already been filed against them.

    5. Get all things in writing. Don’t simply take a contractor at their word. Instead, ask them to offer you a written contract. Make certain both you and also the contractor sign the contract. Keep a copy on your own in case any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the chance of misunderstandings and will provide you with legal protection if the contractor fails to follow along with through on their promises.

Picking a reliable roof specialist for your home is really important. Your roof is probably the most essential components of your home. Working with a professional roofing company who has an excellent reputation is the simplest way to ensure that the project goes as planned.
