    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their biggest investments people usually have a bunch of questions prior to coming to a conclusion , listed here are some of the more common ones…

Unless you’re a certified contractor, the majority of roofing jobs shouldn’t be performed yourself. In addition remember that a large number of manufacturers of products utilized in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a certified professional carries out the work. Something else to always remember is that working on a roof could be very risky, so is it really worth risking your health in order to save money?

It would be fantastic if we were able to give you a straight forward answer to that question! However, there actually is no one answer that fits all for each question like that. There are many unique products available and each one will have its own advantages and disadvantages. To figure out which is the ideal roof for your home, you should have an expert come and take a look at your roof and they can make suggestions according to what they observe, your roof design, the climate you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends on the kind of roof you currently have and exactly what evaluations are mandated. Also, remember that we’re working outside in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add more time to the job. A smaller home could take about a week or so, whereas more substantial commercial jobs could be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just see to it your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you should be fine.

Because your roof is consistently subjected to the outside elements, it means your roof is will deteriorate gradually. The rate at which it degrades will depend upon a range of variables. These include; the quality of the initial materials that were used and the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is maintained and the design of the roof. Most roofing companies will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-maintained roof, but obviously that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure wash your roof, as you take the risk of getting rid of any protective minerals that have been included to provide cover from the elements. Aside from that, you really should avoid chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they may also reduce the life of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning professional, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. That will get rid of the aesthetically displeasing algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

    More About Spring Hill

Spring Hill is a census-designated place (CDP) in Hernando County, Florida, United States. The population was 98,621 at the 2010 census,[1] up from 69,078 at the 2000 census. The American Community Survey estimated the population in 2017 to be 113,508.[4] Spring Hill belongs to Florida’s Nature Coast region and is in the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater metro area. It is east of Hernando Beach, southwest of Brooksville, and north of Tampa.

Spring Hill was formerly a large tract of endangered Longleaf Pine Ecosystem and Sand Pine Scrub with very high biodiversity, and a safe haven for many imperiled species, and most of it remained unchanged until the 1970’s with large scale deforestation.[citation needed] It first appeared on Hernando County maps as early as 1856 along what is today Fort Dade Avenue just north of the community of Wiscon.[5] The modern Spring Hill was founded in 1967 as a planned community, which was developed by the Deltona Corporation and the Mackle Brothers. The developers originally wanted to call the community Spring Lake and used that as the working name through the development process. They were forced to use a different name due to the name Spring Lake already being in use locally and chose Spring Hill.[6] The plans for the community are identical to the community of Deltona. The Mackle Brothers sold many of the properties and land in the area through intense advertising.[7] It has since become a sprawling semi-city in its own right, though it is an unincorporated area. The main entrance to the original development is marked by the Spring Hill waterfall on Spring Hill Drive and U.S. Route 19 (Commercial Way).

The importance of hiring the right company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects are usually expensive. You have to know that you are investing your money wisely and this the finished roof can last for several years into the future. Take a look at these easy methods to find a reliable roofing contractor for your house:

    1. Make use of a local company. Before hiring a contractor, be sure that there is a physical address with your city or county. Local contractors will probably be aware of the codes and building requirements in your area. Also, they are unlikely to try and scam you from your money since they need to maintain their reputation in your community.

    2. Verify the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always take time to get licensed. You should certainly search for licensing information online with the website of your own city or state. Check to be sure that the contractor’s license applies and that it is current before hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to offer evidence of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t create the mistake of hiring the initial company that you simply contact. Instead, get in touch with a minimum of various contractors in your neighborhood to get quotes to the roofing project. Ask each contractor to provide you with an itemized quote to help you see just where your hard earned dollars is going. Ideally, they ought to send an agent for your property to look at your roof face-to-face before providing you with a quotation. Doing this, the estimate they give will likely be considerably more accurate.

    4. Make sure the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups much like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to ensure that no major complaints have been filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t take a contractor at their word. Instead, inquire further to present you with a written contract. Be sure both you and the contractor sign the agreement. Have a copy yourself in case any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the potential risk of misunderstandings and gives you legal protection if the contractor fails to follow through on their promises.
