    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Being one of their most significant investments people typically have a number of questions before makingany decisions , listed here are some of the more commonplace ones…

Unless you are a trained contractor, the majority of roofing jobs really should not be undertaken yourself. In addition remember that a large number of manufacturers of products used in the roof repair won’t warranty those products unless a certified roofing contractor carries out the task. The other thing to always remember is that working on a roof may be very dangerous, so is it really worth endangering your health in order to save money?

It would be fantastic if we could give you a straight forward response to this question! However, there actually is no single answer fits all for every question like that. There are plenty of unique products readily available and each and every one will have its own merits and disadvantages. To figure out which is the right roof for your home, you should have a contractor come and take a look at your roof and they can make recommendations according to what they have seen, your roof design, the environment you live in and, of course, your budget.

It really depends upon the kind of roof and what evaluations are needed. Also, bear in mind that we’re working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we cannot work on a number of days then this is going to add more time to the job. A smaller home could take around a week or so, while larger industrial projects can be anything from several weeks to a number of months. Just ensure that your roofing contractor keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Because your roof is continuously exposed to the outside elements, it means your roof is going to diminish with time. The pace at which it breaks down will depend on a variety of variables. These include; the quality of the initial materials used as well as the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the weather, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing professionals will estimate around 20 years for a well-built and properly maintained roof, but that can never be guaranteed as a result of the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular inspections to be sure it lasts as long as possible.

You should never pressure-wash your roof, as you run the risk of removing any protective minerals that have been added to offer protection from the weather. In addition, you really should steer clear of chlorine-based bleach cleaners since they can easily also decrease the life-span of your roof. When you communicate with your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to clean your roof. This will remove the unappealing algae and discoloration without destroying the tile or shingles.

Here are a few things that some of our customers have had to say…

    More About Tarpon Springs

Tarpon Springs is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 23,484 at the 2010 census.[6] Tarpon Springs has the highest percentage of Greek Americans of any city in the US.[7] Downtown Tarpon Springs has long been a focal point and is undergoing beautification.[8]

The region, with a series of bayous feeding into the Gulf of Mexico, was first settled by white and black farmers and fishermen[9] around 1876. Some of the newly arrived visitors spotted tarpon jumping out of the waters and so named the location Tarpon Springs. The name is said to have originated with a remark of Mrs. Ormond Boyer, an early settler from South Carolina, and who, while standing on the shore of the Bayou and seeing fish leaping exclaimed, “See the tarpon spring!’ However, for the most part , the fish seen splashing here were mullet rather than tarpon. In 1882, Hamilton Disston, who in the previous year had purchased the land where the city of Tarpon Springs now stands, ordered the creation of a town plan for the future city.[1] On February 12, 1887, Tarpon Springs became the first incorporated city in what is now Pinellas County.[1] Less than a year later on January 13, 1888, the Orange Belt Railway, the first railroad line to be built in what is now Pinellas County, arrived in the city.[10] During this time the area was developed as a wintering spot for wealthy northerners.

How To Locate A Reliable Roofing Contractor For Your Home

    cost-to-replace-roof-in
The primary purpose of your homes roof is always to shelter both you and your family from your rain, wind, snow, and harsh summer sun. Having a well-maintained roof is vital if you want to create a home that is safe and cozy.

Unfortunately, roofing materials don’t last forever. All roofs have to be repaired or replaced at one point or another. Unless you have the right tools and experience to do the work yourself, that frequently means working with a professional roofing contractor.

The importance of hiring the correct company can’t be overstated. Most roofing projects can be expensive. You should know that you will be investing your hard earned money wisely and that the finished roof can last for several years to come. Look at these easy methods to look for a reliable roofing contractor for your house:

    1. Utilize a local company. Prior to getting a contractor, be sure that these people have a physical address with your city or county. Local contractors are more likely to know about the codes and building requirements in your neighborhood. Also, they are more unlikely to attempt to scam you from your money since they have to maintain their reputation in your neighborhood.

    2. Verify that the contractor is licensed and insured. Reputable contractors always make time to get licensed. You should be able to lookup licensing information online with the website of your own city or state. Check to ensure that the contractor’s license applies and that it must be current before hiring them. Additionally, ask the contractor to deliver proof of insurance and worker’s compensation insurance before they begin work.

    3. Solicit competing quotes. Don’t make your mistake of hiring the 1st company which you contact. Instead, get in touch with at least a few different contractors in your neighborhood to have quotes for the roofing project. Ask each contractor to offer you an itemized quote so that you can see precisely where your cash is headed. Ideally, they must send an agent to your property to check your roof directly before providing you with a quote. That way, the estimate they supply will probably be a lot more accurate.

    4. Be sure the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews off their past clients. Consider checking with groups like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to confirm that no major complaints have already been filed against them.

    5. Get everything in writing. Don’t just take a contractor at their word. Instead, question them to provide you with a written contract. Make sure both you and the contractor sign the contract. Keep a copy for yourself just in case any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the chance of misunderstandings and gives you legal protection in case the contractor fails to adhere to through on their promises.

Selecting a reliable roof specialist for your home is really important. The roof is probably the most significant components of your house. Employing a professional roofing contractor who may have a great reputation is the simplest way to be sure that the project goes as planned.
